Red face Mesmer builds...

I feel like messing around with some Mesmer builds, so here are some thoughts...

Mesmer/Warrior. Sounds kind of weird, but I figure with my Warrior skills running off of adrenaline I'll have plenty of damage output while still firing off spells. The only problem I've run into so far while trying this out in pre-searing is that I don't really need to have both... either I cast a few spells and by the time I close to sword distance with the enemy, it's dead, or I go up and start beating it right away but then using spells in the midst of battle seems to be such an interruption. Do you think a good balance could be achieved here, or do the two jobs clash too much?

Mesmer/Necro. Seems like this would be a really strong hexing/support build. I haven't messed around with it too much yet, but it almost seems like it would be too heavily support-orienting to the point that I'd feel like I'm not actually accomplishing much. I'm not sure if that makes any sense... I guess I'd just like to see some damage output every now and then . I'm not really familiar with the necro skill trees so any advice with this line would be appreciated.

I wish I had gone Me/N rather than Me/Mo. As a mesmer, you'll be able to put down most casters. As a necro, you'll be able to make warriors next to useless. The combo, if used well, could allow you to take down ANY player on the opposing team...But that's just PvP. As far as PvE goes, mesmers just own. Anything else is just extra.

One early lvl combo with the mes/war combo I like is stacking Conure phantasm and sever artery. Gets a good life drain goin.

Agreed. For a good part of the earlier part of the game, I always tried to get this combo off, esp. on bosses and Charr. However, I modified it to go
Conjure Phantasm > Sever Artery > Gash > Shatter Delusions

lol i hav a me/n and i wish everytime i play it that i could change it to a n/me it the same basic build except i would hav more energy because of soul reaping, fast casting as a primary attribute is a joke it doesnt really make anything that much faster mind even so the me/n it awsome i hav come up with TONS of combos for it, both for spell casters warriors or both and they usually work but my favorite one right now is an energy drain one wich works well for both warriors and even better for spellcasters
1. mind wrack
2. arcane conundrum
3. power leak
4. enfeeble
5. energy burn
6. ether feast
7. energy drain (e)
8. energy tap
the attributes for this can be played around with a bit but as long as arcane conundrum goes for at least 20 secodns and domination is maxed out then u can play aroudn with curses and inspiration magic to suit ur liking

if versing warriors then firstly use enfeeble then mind wrack, then energy drain and energy tap, hit enfeeble again and energy burn, wich hould bring the warrior to 0 energy and he will take damage for both energy burn and mind wrack, if he is a w/mo then use arcane conundrum and mind wrakc, wait for him 2 heal then interupt with power leak, also dont forget to keep spamming enfeeble, then by this stage energy tap and drain should hav finished revivng so use mind wrack and energy tap then mind wrack and energy drain, then start spamming ether fesast and mind wrack till he is dead. as u can see its not that gud on warriors because they also hav healing signet, but it does get the job done in the end...usually .

if versing a spellcaster the do pretty much the same thing just dont use enfeeble. it should keep them harmless and wen u start spamming ether feast it should keep u healthy, however spell casters ggain more energy than warriors so ether feast wont keep them at 0 energy for mind wrack so use power leak and energy tap and drain wen ever you can.

If you want PvE mesmer advice this really isn't the forum. Ask in the Tyrian explorer's league or the campfire.

For PvP.

Me/W: Bad idea
Me/R: Again, bad idea for the most part
Me/E: A few select applications. You are playing a primary mesmer with glyph support some other support skills that are low specced.
Me/Mo: Mostly used for fast cast hard rez in gvg, again almost all primary mesmer. Occasionally you will pull some utility from the monk or use scourge healing.
Me/N: These two synch really well together and some very powerful builds pulling form both necro and mesmer exist.

Not to be mean, but this build is a real mess and I don't think it is even worth running in random arenas. You are specced into at least four different lines with little synergy between skills. It just looks like it has only been run in PvE and really isn't that useful even there. You need to focus the build in more and give it a proper goal.
